The Planet of Hup
Planet: Sulcon Nimbu (aka Hup)
Circ: 75,398.22 km
AT: 193 degrees, fixed.
G: 8.5
Rotation A: 53.4 hours
Rotation S: 659 days
Low planetary density, High atmospheric denisty. Humid.
Hup was discovered isolated at the far edge of a Galaxy known as Hector. The planet rotates around a type F yellow/white star called Flitter (Sectis 4I2). It is the only habitable planet of fourteen within the star system, that sits just within the warm side of the habitable zone.
The most notable anomaly of the Planet of Hup is the presence of highly magnetic Satellite clouds which partially enclose the planet outside of the atmospheric range, as well as encircle the orbital zone around the star known as the 'cloud ring'. The Satellite Clouds around Hup are fixed, and follow the same axis rotation. They are semi transparent and reflective, serving as the main defense for the planet as a magnetic field against aggressive radiation emitted from the star. Areas on the planet that have no, or little cloud to protect it may be seen as extreme hot or cold areas on the planet, some of which can be non hospitable in nature.
The planet has 6 moons, most of which are composed of a mineral structure that reflects high levels of UV light. The effect highlights the general evolution of flourescent and bioluminescent/chemical luminescent features that are most common on the planet.
